Fortnite Mounted Turret Gets Nerfed Shortly After Launch

When Fortnite gained a mounted turret to use in defending structures and destroying the opponents, some were excited. It didn’t take long before many in the community were complaining about the turrets to the point where Epic Games has promised to make changes to the weapon. The nerfing of the turret involves making it overheat faster and reducing the headshot multiplier.

The turret is also now easier for players to destroy from the front. Many fans of the game were so unhappy with how the turret worked they were calling for the item to be removed from the game altogether.

Epic is instead nerfing the turret to make it more balanced and less powerful. Epic has promised a hotfix to apply the nerfs to the turret. However, there has been no specific timeframe announced for when that hotfix will land reports Fortniteintel.

The mounted turret landed with the v6.30 update last week along with the Food Fight LTM. Fortnite continues to be the most popular game out there with players taking the competition very seriously.
