Fallout 76 PC Beta Flaw Ends Beta Play Early
Bethesda has been running its PC beta for the highly anticipated Fallout 76 video game. That beta had some sort of issue with its timer that was counting down to a time that ended two hours before the beta was supposed to end. When the timer reached zero, players were booted from the beta.
PC Gamer reports that it was shown a message that the copy of Fallout 76 was being unlocked, but they saw the preloaded button again. When that button was clicked the preload of Fallout 76 was downloaded again. The game requires 60GB of free drive space, so it isnt a small download.
PC Gamer reports that its reviewer was able to eventually get in after being told log in credentials were incorrect. However, once back in the entire game library was empty. Bethesda announced it was aware of the issue and asked people to stop clicking buttons and if the download started again to allow it to complete.
PC Gamer was eventually able to get back into the beta, but reports indicate that some players were still having issues. There is no indication that the PC beta will be extended to make up for the issues players had.
