Fortnite Stream Ninja Claims to have Received $40,000 Donation
When it comes to streaming video games on Twitch, the most popular streamer out there right now is Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. Ninja was recently interviewed for ESPN the Magazine and talked about his rise to fame and how much loot he collects for playing games 12 hours per day.
Ninja maintains that he makes about $500,000 or more monthly for his streaming prowess via subscribers and donations. In talking about donations, he claims to have received $40,000 via a donation once while playing the game. Ninja claims that to be the largest donation he ever remembers receiving while playing Fortnite reports Insider.
You would think such large donations would be easily remembered. Fortnite continues to be very popular and the main streaming game Ninja plays. However, Ninja is playing g CoD 4: Black Ops as well and will likely stream the Blackout mode when the game launches.
The success of streamers like Blevins has led many people to try their own hand at streaming games for profit. The success of high-end streamers like Ninja will be very hard to replicate.
