High Stakes Event Brings New Getaway Mode

Fortnite gamers are going to be getting a new mode soon that comes as part of the High Stakes event. The mode is called Getaway and will have a squad of four players fighting it out to acquire a jewel that is hidden inside a safe somewhere on the map. That jewel is in a safe that players will have to crack.

As your squad of four is trying to get the jewel, another squad will be fighting to get the jewel for themselves. To win the round you must acquire the jewel and get it into your getaway van. Each match is four rounds and whoever has the most round wins takes the match reports Comicbook.

Along with the mode, players can choose a new costume that is a white business suit. That suit comes with four masks each in white with an image from a deck of playing cards on it. That means a heart, spade, club, and diamond.

A Cuffed Case Back Bling and a Safecracker Glider are coming with the event. Each of those items will sell for between 500 and 1,500 V-Bucks. A tool called the Grappler is also being introduced. It is a grapple gun that will help you to get to higher ground more quickly.
