PlayStation Vue Raises Prices for All by $5 Monthly
One of the more expensive monthly bills that many people around the country pay is cable. For many deciding to go streaming only was a money saver. Prices for streaming are quickly growing to the point where it’s almost the same price as cable. Recently YouTube TV, Sling TV, and DIRECTV NOW all raised prices on users.
PlayStation Vue is now raising prices right along with the others. All new and existing subscribers will see a $5 monthly price increase on all Vue plans across the board. The new pricing goes into effect on July 24. As for why the price is going up, Dwayne Benefield, head of Vue says it’s to keep pace with rising cost of business.
He said Vue, “must increase the price of our multi-channel plans to keep pace with rising business costs and enable us to continue offering a better way to watch the best in live sports, entertainment, and news.” With the price increase the four plans Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra now cost $44.99, $49.99, $59.99, and $79.99 monthly respectively reports DroidLife.
The rub for many is that this latest price increase is the second in a year to come from Vue. If prices continue to rise this quickly for streaming services, it’s only a matter of time until many go back to traditional cable where you dont have to worry about going over your Internet data allotment.
