Battlefield 5 Trailer Looks Amazing, But The Dislikes Are Adding Up
Check out the official Battlefield 5 reveal trailer below. Right now it has 160,000 likes and 124,000 dislikes after 3.6 million views in less than 24 hours. Many of those that are disliking the trailer are saying that it is too chaotic, not realistic to how WWII was and that it looks too much like an arcade game. Soldiers have blue face paint and cricket bats, a woman has a leading role with a missing arm, people are using machine guns with one hand and so on. Nothing wrong with a woman staring in the game title, but it feels like everyone is catering to the social justice crowd these days.
Battlefield 5 seems to be drastically modifying what really went down in World War II and that is going to make some people mad. I had family fight and serve in WWII from my Great Uncle that was at pearl harbor the day it was bombed to another Great Uncle that served in the 1st Armored Division ‘Old Ironsides’ where he was in North Africa fighting Rommel’s Afrika Korps and then he went to Italy for the invasion of Sicily. Both men didn’t talk much about their service and amazingly one is still alive and kicking at 98 years of age. I’m not offended by the trailer though as I know what really happened and I understand that not all games have to be realistic.
Battlefield V launches worldwide on October 19th and more will be revealed at EA Play on June 9th, 2018.
