Pokmon Go Fest 2018 Gives it Another Go

By

Niantic tried to host the Pokmon Go fest last year and it was a massive flop for many reasons. This left a bunch of angry gamers who shelled out money to go to the festival very angry and a suit was filed. That resulted in a settlement of $1.575 million to reimburse people for the money they spent on travelling to the show. Pokmon Go fest is coming back this year and presumably, a lesson was learned last year.

The summer tour will have events kicking off in Europe with a Safari Zone event in Dortmund, Germany running June 30 to July 1 in Westfalenpark. In North America, the Pokmon Go fest returns to Chicago July 14 and 15. Pokmon Go Fest 2018: A Walk in the Park is what it is called.

The event is to be held in Lincoln Park and it promises activities for Trainers of all ages. A Single day pass will cost $20 and goes on sale May 11. A Safari zone will also be set up in Yokosuka, Japan later this summer. An exact date for that event is unannounced.

Other events will be held for Trainers across Asia and more details on them will be offered later. Other events will be held along with Pokmon Go Community Day on May 19. Those events will put Fire-type Pokmon Charmander front and center.
