Radical Heights Battle Royale Shooter Lands on Steam
Publisher Boss Key Productions has announced that it is getting into the battle royale game with a new shooter called Radical Heights on Steam. The game has an ’80s game show theme with bright clothes, BMX bikes and a game show backdrop that has players playing in a dome. It rather reminds me of a modern version of Smash TV from the days of the arcade.
Around the environment are vending machines for more guns and a destructible environment that you can shoot up to gather money. If you kill an opponent, you can get all their loot once they are gone. Spinning wheels are around and you can get mystery prizes.
Players can also loot other weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and cash. The game is described as “X-TREME Early Access” earning that it will probably have some bugs, but at least it is free to play. The game is third-person and you need at least 6GB of storage, an Intel Core i5-2500K, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 660 or Radeon 7870 to play. The recommended specs are at least a GTX 1060.
The game descriptions reads, “Partake in high-stakes battle royale gunplay in a sunny SoCal dome as contestants drive-by on BMX bikes or stalk other contestants from the shadows in search for weapons and prizes…but also CASH that you can bank – win or lose! Whether you spend that cash on righteous customization in your personal prize room or pull it from an ATM to purchase weapons early in the next game — building a wealth of cash is as important as taking down the competition in this irreverent 80s-themed action game show where everyone wants to be rich and famous!”
