PUBG Codename: Savage Map Hits Beta
PUBG fans have a new map that has entered beta to try out, assuming you have access. The map is Codename: Savage and the map is live on the closed experimental server now. Along with the new map also comes a new Squads feature that allows you to play in a squad with other players and friends.
PUBG devs warn that if you add the extra queue for Squads alongside the solo queue your matchmaking will take longer during off-peak hours. PUBG has also re-opened signups for the test and is giving away hundreds of thousands of additional keys for fans that missed the first round of giveaways.
That sounds like a lot of keys, but with the huge number of players in the game, they will go quickly if they arent already gone. Keys are available here while they last. Some changes to the Codename: Savage map has been made.
- Increased the item and weapon spawn rates inside residential buildings and small cabins to improve the looting experience along the outskirts of the map.
- The first blue zone circle will show up right at the beginning of the match so players can plan their strategy before parachuting.
- Blue zone time adjusted to speed up gameplay during the first phase of the match.
- Red zone frequency has been lowered
- There are now fewer explosions inside each red zone. The size of the red zone remains the same.
- Vans now spawn less often. The two-wheeled motorcycle spawns more often. Motorbikes with sidecars have been removed from Codename: Savage.
