Super Mario Odyssey Gets New Outfits in New Update
Fans of Super Mario Odyssey have a couple new outfits they can dress Mario up in. One of the outfits is the Satellaview suit and helmet that is a throwback to an outfit that Mario wore in a Japanese commercial for the Super Famicom Satellaview game console. It’s a very retro looking space suit if you arent familiar.
The other outfits is a baseball uniform and that one was unveiled just in time for opening day for many teams around the country. Both of these new costumes are available to purchase with in-game coins. There was a list datamined from the game not long ago that showed some new items coming to the game reports Comicbook.com.
Both of these costumes were on that list showing that it is accurate. Other outfits on that list included a Legend of Zelda themed pack. The update also brings with it new abilities with one allowing you to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies in an effort to collect Power Moons to power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach.
Cappy is a new ally that gives Mario some moves that will let players rethink gameplay. Cappy’s moves include cap jump, cap throw, and capture. Cappy can be controlled by player 2 with another Joy-Con controller. Being able to play local two player with a new character is a cool addition.
