Razer Announces The Sieren Elite Professional Grade Microphone
Razer’s Sieren Elite Microphone Is Designed With Live Streaming In Mind
Razer has announced the arrival of their latest microphone, the Sieren Elite, which features a single dynamic capsule with a cardioid capture pattern. The Razer Sieren Elite has a built-in high pass filter to remove unwanted low-frequency noise and vibrations caused by household appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners and fans. The latest microphone from Razer features a digital/analog range limiter, which will keep audio gains adjusted to proper levels to reduce popping and distortion when things get a bit dicey during streaming and raging ensues. The Razer logo is on the base of the Sieren Elite, which rather than having an RGB ring, has a red LED ring that will glow when your gains are getting too high, helping you remember to relax and keep your cool. The Razer Sieren Elite is able to be unscrewed from the included stand so that it can easily be connected to a mounted microphone arm for optimal placement.
The Razer Sieren Elite is capable of recording at up to a 16-Bit 48,000Hz resolution and is specified for zero-latency recording, meaning input lag shouldn’t be noticeable. The Razer Sieren Elite connects to PC’s with a single USB cable and is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10, in addition to having MAC OS support for versions 10.8 and newer.
With so many live streamers using popular condenser mics from companies like Blue and Audio Technica, it will be interesting to see how the Razer Sieren Elite unit compares and competes. This is another product in the Razer Broadcaster lineup of products designed for live streamers, with the Razer Kiyo webcam also having been released last year. With an MSRP of $199.99, the Razer Sieren Elite is priced right between the Blue Yeti and Yeti Pro, which puts it into a very competitive arena. The Razer Sieren Elite is currently available at the Razer website. Razer also has a more basic, compact streaming microphone known as the SierenX available at a $99.99 MSRP.
What are your thoughts on this new Sieren Elite microphone from Razer? Does it do enough to warrant interest against the current microphones on the market?
