LG Display’s Rollable OLED TV is a Thing of Dreams

By

I’d most certainly like an OLED TV, but my current TV isnt even a year old. Still, if LG Display ever makes these rollable OLED TVs in the realm of affordability I will most certainly buy one. The super-thin OLED screen can roll up and store inside the rectangular base when not in use.

This prevents you from having a TV sitting in the living room all the time when you dont want to see it. LG isnt offering anything in the form of details about this rollable OLED. We have no idea about screen size, brightness, connectivity or any of that stuff.

It’s probably safe to assume that the base the screen rolls into has speakers, it does appear in the images as if that may be a speaker grille on the front. Sadly, as with any of the super cool stuff we see at CES each year, this may never come to market.

If it as available to purchase right now it would be super expensive undoubtedly. The only home theater gear that comes close to this sort of hide-away capability right now is a projector screen.
