New Overwatch Hero in Testing Now

Fans of Overwatch will be glad to hear that a new hero is in testing internally. This mysterious new character will be the first of 2018 and comes on the heels of 2017 where three new characters launched.

The announcement of the new hero in development comes from Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan. For now, the hero is being called Hero 27, as it will be the 27th character in the game. Kaplan also confirmed that there are more characters in development for the game as well, but there is no mention of how many might land in 2018.

There is a strong chance that the 27th character will be sleuthed out before the official unveil and announcement from Blizzard. Doomfist was uncovered and known before he was officially announced reports Gamerant.

Kaplan has also promised that he and his team are working on a “ton of new content” for 2018. Overwatch is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One right now and was one of the more popular games of 2017 after launching in 2016.
