Brendan Green Says 99% of PUBG Cheats are from China

PUBG is one of the most popular games in the world meaning it has players everywhere. Cheating is a big problem in the game and ruins some of the fun for many people. Gamers tend to blame all the cheating on China and as it turns out they are right.

According to PlayerUnknown himself Brendan Greene, 99% of cheats in the game right now come from China. ” Around 99 percent of cheats in the game right now are coming out of China,” Greene told Kotaku by phone. “Theres a massive cheat market not just in China, but around the world. But its seen as kind of a little bit more acceptable to cheat in games in China. Also geographically, they just have a lot more people than anywhere else in the world.”

PUBG has had a big month and has finally launched officially marking the end of a very long early access period. While some are calling on a complete ban of all players from China, Greene says that won’t happen.

“I dont think thats a good idea at all,” he said. “Yes, the majority of cheats come out of China, but that doesnt mean all Chinese players are cheaters. This idea that just because youve got a few bad eggs, youve gotta ban a whole country is a bit reactive.” Greene says the best way to fix cheating is for players to report every cheater they come across.
