Far Cry 5 Launch Delayed to March 27, 2018
Ubisoft has announced that some of its anticipated games have been delayed at least a little. We first heard Far Cry 5 was in the works back in May of this year when the game was announced and only a week or so later the setting for the game was announced. This is the game that will have players entering the Resistance in Montana.
Ubisoft has said that the game is delayed until March 27, 2018 for PC and consoles. The extra development time will let Ubisoft Montreal make “additional improvements” to help it bring “the best” Far Cry experience to players.
At 10 pm PST today a new look at the game will be offered to help get fans excited. Far Cry 5 isnt the only game that was delayed, The Crew 2 is delayed as well. Developer Ivory Tower is delaying the game until the first half of Ubisoft’s next fiscal year.
Presumably, that means a lunch sometime mod way through 2018 at the earliest, but a specific target date isn’t offered. The delay will allow the developers to “perform additional playtests, gather player feedback, and continue working towards delivering an ambitious open-world racing experience that meets the teams and our players expectations.”
