IO Interactive Says New Hitman Game in Production
Game developer IO Interactive was put up for sale back in May and no buyers stepped up. That meant that IO Interactive ended up going independent. We all wondered at the time what would happen to Hitman, the assassin game that has been around for a long time
Some good news has been offered up by IO Interactive this week with the confirmation that the baldheaded killer will live on with a new game in development. IO CEO Hakan Abrak said that a new game was in development in the Hitman world in a post talking about Hitman 2016: GOTY Edition.
Abrak wrote, “Your support will directly help us to continue on our independent journey towards the next Hitman game and beyond. Were in this together and we promise that we will channel our passion and skills to shine through in everything that comes from this studio.”
The CEO also said the team was making “great progress” and the new Hitman title will have features that are new to the Hitman franchise. More details on the game will be coming next year, exactly when that will happen we dont know. Abrak only said “at some point” in 2018 reports Gamesradar.
