PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Reaches 20 Million Copies Sold on PC
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has reached another huge sales milestone, crossing 20 million copies sold to PC gamers since its release in March 2017. PUBG creator Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene announced the news on Twitter to his 281,000 followers.

This is impressive for a game that isn’t even out of Steam Early Access yet, but the game still has some issues that need to be addressed. The frustration mentioned by Greene in his tweet is likely related to a few issues, but cheating is a big one and many are wanting to see vaulting and climbing added into the game. PUBG Corp. has been actively working on the cheating issue, but the vaulting and climbing feature appears to have been delayed. Legit Reviews recently wrote up a how to report / ban cheaters in PUBG guide as we were among those getting frustrated by cheaters.
PUBG has also been smashing concurrent gamer numbers for Steam with a record setting 2.515 million players online at the same time. That number now triples DOTA 2’s high of 832,000 players! PUBG is putting up astounding numbers for an early access game title. PUBG sales numbers are only going to continue to rise as the popular game title is ramping up for its Xbox One console debut on December 12th, 2017.
Actually, working with the @Xbox team has already helped us find some optimization bottlenecks we can fix, and they will be carried over to the PC version once complete!

The console version is also helping figure out some performance tweaks that will help the PC build, so it looks like PUBG optimizations are going to be coming as well!
