Intel SSD DC P4501 Series Announced With 3D TLC NAND and 20 PBW Endurance Rating
At Computex, Intel expanded the recently announced 2nd Generation Intel 3D NAND SSD Family with the launch of the Intel SSD DC P4501 Series, a low power SSD for data center. It joins the previously announced Intel SSD DC P4500 Series and Intel SSD DC P4600 Series. The new SSD utilizes Intel 3D TLC NAND, an all-new Intel designed controller and new NVMe firmware built from the ground up and designed for use in data centers. The Intel SSD DC P4501 Series available in both U.2 (2.5 inch x 7mm) and M.2 (110mm) form factors and capacities of 512GB, 1TB, 2TB or 4 TB.
When it comes to performance you are looking at Sequential read/write up to 3,200/900 MB/s and 4K Random read/write up to 360,000/46,000 IOPS. The Intel SSD DC P4501 Series is backed by a 5-year warranty with an endurance rating of up to 3 Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) or 20 Petabytes Written (PBW) for sequential and 1 DWPD or 5 PBW for random.
