Acer Reveals Nitro 5 and Spin 1 Laptops Before Computex
Although Computex doesnt begin until memorial weekend, Acer has revealed two new laptops. The Spin 1 and the Nitro 5 along with a pair of Iconia tablets.
Spin 1
The ultra-light convertible Spin 1 features an Intel Pentium or Intel Celeron processor and has an 11.6-inch full HD convertible IPS display. The available storage is as high as 128GB of eMMC and 4GB of RAM. Additionally, it will sport a single USB 3.1, one USB 2.0, an HDMI port, and one micro SD slot. The Spin 1 is an ultra-light 2-in-1 weighing in under three pounds.
Nitro 5
The Nitro 5 is designed as a portable casual gaming laptop. The laptop allows gameplay on a 15.6-inch HD IPS display. The products GPU goes up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Coupled with the video card is either an Intel i5 or i7 processor. Also, customers may side with an AMD Radeon RX550 video card, an AMD A-Series FX, an A12, or an A10 CPU. The gaming laptop will offer RAM up to 32 GB of DDR4 2100MHz and a SSD up to 512GB or a HDD up to 2TB. Furthermore, the Nitro 5 will feature a USB-C port, a single USB 3.0, a pair of USB 2.0, and a single HDMI 2.0.
Iconia One 10 and Tab 10
In addition to the two laptops revealed, Acer also revealed two Iconia tablets, the One 10 and the Tab 10. The Iconia One 10 tablet offers dual Micro USB ports. The Iconia Tab 10 comes with a Quantum Dot display with four additional speakers with a built in subwoofer. Both the One 10 and Tab 10 feature MediaTek quad-core CPUs with wide-angle IPS display, operate on Android 7.0, and have a battery to last up to eight hours.
With Computex beginning this weekend, it is likely more information will be given for the Iconia tablets. The Spin 1 will be priced at $329 and the Nitro 5 at $799. Both laptops will be available this July.
