Deepcool Tristellar PC Case Mod by Bill Owen Slowly Selling
When we first learned that Deepcool was releasing a limited number of limited edition Tristellar S PC cases that were modded and signed by Bill Own at Newegg for $599 plus $19.99 for shipping shipping, we were very curious to see how fast they’d sell. Don’t think for a second that we are questioning the work of Bill Owen as he’s undoubtedly one of the best PC case modders around, but the market for a $599.99 PC chassis is very limited.
“Deepcool’s Tristellar Bill Owen Mod case wasinspired by Star Wars& Spaceship, which is the first cases to take conventional chassis design and throw it out of the window, into the stratosphere, and on to the next galaxy. Deepcool& Bill Owens Tristellar Mod case is undeniably unique, which has a breathtaking appearance, striking paint job, custom air ducts, and the side windows make GPU and SSDs visible.”
Bill Owen posted up on social media that six of his 25 Deepcool Tristellar cases have been sold through Newegg in the first two weeks that they have been released. That leaves 19 of these cases left at Newegg. The total number produced was 50. The price is steep, but like the only review on Newegg stated this case is something that something Bill Owen forged from a dying star.
You can see Bill showing off his creation in the video below. If you listen to the video you’ll hear him mention that he will be working with Deepcool again to mod an unreleased case for Computex 2016 and that there might be a Bill Owen Limited Edition production run for that model as well. Congrats to Bill Owen for getting it done!
