PowerColor Radeon R9 390X Devil 13 Video Card Pictured

The folks over at Tweaktown have posted up pictures of the PowerColor Radeon R9 390X Devil 13 video card. This is said to be the next-generation AMD Radeon R9 390X video card. Legit Reviews contacted PowerColor about these images and was told that it was indeed the GPU cooler that they will be using for the PowerColor 390X Devil 13, but that the card that it was attached to was actually a Radeon R9 290X as this was just a mock-up for Computex. They also noted that TT should not have released the images and that the card is no longer being shown at Computex 2015. PowerColor also denied our request for additional images of the card that don’t have another sites layover on them, so we’ll just go ahead and use the ones Anthony took from TT and give him credit for taking them.

Tweaktown reports that the AMD Radeon R9 390X won’t be the flagship video card as the water cooled AMD Radeon R9 Fury X with the Fiji XT GPU and air cooled Radeon R9 Fury with the Fiji Pro GPU will be the flagship parts that use High Bandwidth Memory (HMB). TT says that the AMD Radeon R9 390X and Radeon R9 390 as well as the 380, 370 and 360 video cards are basically just rebrands of existing cards that are on the market today. PowerColor said this hybrid cooler was mocked up on a Radeon 290X, so maybe the 390X really is just a rebrand like TT suggests.

If all that information being leaked isn’t already enough, the folks over at TT said the price of the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X will be $849, which makes it $200 more than the recently released NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti.
