NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 Video Card Images Leaked By MSI

Rumors and leaks about the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 have been happening more frequently, which is usually a sign that an impending release of a GPU is close. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 is said to be powered by the GM206-300 ‘Maxwell’ GPU. According to the site Videocardz, the GeForce GTX 960 will be launching within a week!

The rumor mill is saying that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 will be available with either 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5 memory and that all will use the GM206-300 graphics processor. There will be cards based off the reference design and then the AIB’s will have custom designed and cooled cards launching at or shortly after the initial video card release. The GM206-300 is said to have 1024 to 1280 CUDA cores and will use the 128-bit interface for the memory.

Videocardz also has leaked images of GeForce GTX 960 video cards from MSI to help corroborate their story. From the images you can see that the MSI GeForce GTX 960 is powered by a single 8-pin power connector. Videocardz also reports that the PCB features a 4+1 phase power design, but we don’t see that mentioned on the box nor can we see the power layout in the images shown. The images do show that the GeForce GTX 960 has the same display output configuration as GTX 970 and GTX 980: three DisplayPorts, a single HDMI and a DVI. VideoCardz also has a shot of MSI’s upcoming GTX 960 GAMING 2G and 100 MILLION Edition graphics cards You can see the 100 MILLION Edition box shot below.

The site has also found retailers listing some ASUS GeForce GTX 960 video cards. If the listing are accurate it looks like ASUS will be offering DirectCU 2 OC and STRIX OC versions of the GeForce GTX 960 under part numbers ASUS GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5-PRO and ASUS STRIX-GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5 / GTX960 / OC version.
