ZTE Releases High End Nubia Z5 Smartphone

Chinese manufacturer ZTE has unveiled its latest smartphone, the Nubia Z5. Currently only featuring on its Chinese website, the new smartphone is designed to compete with the likes of the HTC Butterfly and Droid DNA and has the following high end specifications: 5″ 1920 x 1080 IPS display, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 13MP rear camera with Flash, 2MP front-facing camera, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It manages all this in a superthin and light frame, measuring just 138 x 69.2 x 7.6mm and 126g. Selling price will be 3,456 yuan ($555) in China from January. It will sell in a black version and a white version, along with a much more expensive titanium version at around double the price, 7,789 yuan ($1265). It’s not clear at this point whether the device will be available outside China.
