By

Samsung is finally beginning to roll out the long-awaited Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update for its Galaxy S3 smartphone, with the first country to get it being Poland, along with further countries before the end of the month.

The firmware has the somewhat tongue-trippy ID of: PDA I9300XXDLIB CSC I9300OXFDLI1 MODEM I9300XXDLIB and features improvements such as better performance due to Project Butter, a reorganized settings menu and two homescreen modes. Users can download it either using KEIS or over ther air (OTA). It’s best to have the device plugged into the charger when doing this, but if not, then ensure at least 50% battery is remaining and Wi-Fi should be used to avoid potentially bricking the phone. Flashing should be performed using ODIN. To keep up with all the latest updates, follow @SamKiesUpdates on Twitter.
