ASUS has unveiled it’s all new desktop gaming PC, the ROG TYTAN CG8890. Talk about beastly, the ROG TYTAN CG8890 is fully loaded with a liquid-cooled Intel Core i7 3960X with Turbo Gear pushing the six core CPU to a maximum of 4.2GHz. On the GPU front it comes packing some serious muscle as well, with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690. ASUS didn’t skimp on storage when it comes to speed either, offering dual 128GB SATA 3 SSDs configured in RAID 0. Add in the ASUS Xonar DX sound card along with some truly unique looks and you have a stand out gaming PC to say the least. That said, with the inclusion of one-click Turbo Gear makes overclocking easy, even novices can get some extra performance from this already mighty desktop by using one of three Turbo Gear settings which are Startup mode, Turbo Gear mode and Turbo Gear extreme mode. The first option has the ROG logo + bottom grill light up blue with a CPU overclock of 3.8GHz. Turbo Gear mode changes the logo and grill lights to red with a CPU overclock of 4.0GHz. Turbo Gear extreme mode offers red lighting as well but brings the CPU up to 4.2GHz. Pricing and availability are currently unknown but judging by the specs the ROG TYTAN CG8890 will be an expensive but extremely powerful gaming PC.

In order to achieve ultimate stability, the CG8890 is engineered to provide the best thermal solution in the thick of battle. The chassis automatically transforms and opens its top and side panels in Turbo Gear mode to reveal its robust crimson fans so as to exhaust hot air and redirect cool air into the system, thus extending the lifespan of components inside. The additional intricately designed venting holes along the chassis also aid the overall cooling while the integrated liquid cooled CPU offers efficient and silent heat dissipation. With its advanced 10-way venting and integrated liquid cooling, the CG8890 is the perfect gaming desktop for marathon gaming sessions.
