Leaked: AMD’s Top Trinity APUs Leave Intel IGP Gaming Performance in the Dust!

By

Major retailer Bottom Line Telecommunications has leaked prices of AMD’s upcoming Trinity APUs. If the prices are accurate, then it will mean that for around $130, a customer can opt for a dual Core i3-3225 CPU CPU with HD 4000 graphics (Intel’s best) or buy AMD’s top Trinity-based APU, the A10-5800K, featuring Radeon HD 7660D graphics, four cores and unlocked multiplier.

We already know that AMD’s IGP is considerably more potent than Intel’s, so the large delta in the relative performance comparison between AMD’s A10-5800K and Intel’s Core i7-3770K in the chart below is believable. So, for those that want to game on a budget, buying AMD will be a no-brainer. This is especially true with laptops based on the A10-5800K. Still, best wait for final pricing, the inevitable price adjustments Intel will make and for the reviews before making that final buying decision.
