Black Mesa Source, The Half-Life Remake, Releases September 14th

By

The wait is finally over, Black Mesa is going to release on September 14th. The team behind Black Mesa felt Half-Life: Source didn’t live up to it’s potential and as such started their own project to deliver a remake that truly used the Source Engine to it’s fullest potential. The project lead Carlso Montero on the Black Mesa Forums has said “On September 14th you will see the first release of Black Mesa! This will include our re-envisioning of Half-Life all the way up to Lambda Core. We believe this is a great way to provide a complete-feeling 8-10 hour experience with a solid ending, make our fans happy and help us make the best overall game possible.” He continued on saying “We are still working hard on Xen and BMDM, but instead of making you wait we are giving you Black Mesa as soon as it’s ready! We’re doing our best to help bring the immense vision of this project into reality, and we are very excited for what the future brings!” So it seems the Black Mesa Source isn’t actually 100% complete yet but its getting very close. While a bit old the trailer below offers a small taste of what can be expected. So are you excited for Black Mesa Source? Let us know below if your down for some re-imagined Half-Life.
