LG Optimus G Trailers Surface on Youtube – Better Than The Samsung Galaxy S III?

By

Last week, LG launched a new website for the companies upcoming LG Optimus G Android smartphone. This phone has been turning some heads as it is said to be LGs most powerful Android ever launched. The LG Optimus G appears to be using a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC. LG has also confirmed that the Optimus G will be using a 1280768 True HD IPS+ display (320ppi) that is 4.67″ in size. LG claims it is sharper than the Super AMOLED display that the Samsung Galaxy S III is using. LG will be releasing seven teaser videos on the landing page for the Optimus G and the first two trailers are up now. The only bad thing is that the videos are all done in Korean. LG’s first video talks about the performance gains of the Snapdragon S4 Pro and its Adreno 320 graphics core. From what we can tell, the video says that the LG Optimus G is 40% faster than other quad-core offerings available in the market today.

The second video talks about the new True HD IPS+ display and how is it better than what is used in the Samsung Galaxy S III. LG has shrunk the thickness of its display by 27%, which lowers the weight and improved the black levels/reflectivity and general efficiency. Rumor has it that the LG Optimus G will have a 2,100mAh battery.

The next teaser video comes out on August 31st, so we can’t wait to see what will be announced next. Maybe LG will translate some of these videos into English or add captions at the bottom for us.
