TP-LINK today announced its Fall 2012 Back-to-School Wireless Networking Lineup featuring the N600 Dual Band Gigabit Router and N600 Dual Band USB Adapter to instantly add a 5GHz upgrade without disrupting your network. The products enable college students to use several applications simultaneously at higher than average Internet connection speeds and without network delays. The TP-LINK N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (TL-WDR3600) has an MSRP of $69.99 and the TP-LINK N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (TL-WDN3200) has an MSRO of $29.99. This adds up to $99.98 and appears to be a cost effective way of getting a wireless N600 network up and running along with a wireless USB adapter for a PC or laptop.

The router combines the functions of two wireless routers in one to broadcast and receive both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections simultaneously at 300Mbps. Students can now send email and surf the Web over the 2.4GHz band while at the same time streaming HD video or playing online games over the less congested 5GHz band. The two multi-functional USB ports make it easy to share printers, files and media. One Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports support a robust and fast-wired network, ideal for HD media and online gaming. The one button security setup is so convenient that you dont even need to remember a password!
