Gigabyte has released its first mATX motherboard to feature two thunderbolt high speed ports, the Z77MX-D3H-TH. The board is based on the Intel LGA1155 socket, which can accept Ivy Bridge and the older Sandy Bridge based processors. The chipset used is the Z77 and the Intel DSL3510L interface supplies the two high speed thunderbolt ports, which run at 10Gb/s, enough to transfer a 1080p movie in under 30 seconds and to drive high resolution displays. They are also well suited to high capacity NAS boxes where fast data transfer is important such as in video editing.

Other headline features packed into this little motherboard include 3D Power digital VRMs for the CPU/iGPU, dual 3D UEFI BIOS, Ultra Durable 4, protection against humidity, electrostatic discharge and power failure, along with many others. It supports a maximum of 32GB DDR3 memory, 2 x SATA 6Gb/s ports and 4 x SATA 3Gb/s ports (with RAID) along with 4 x USB 3.0 ports and 10 USB 2.0 ports. HD audio is provided by a VIA VT2021 codec chip supporting 7.1 surround sound. The full list of specs and features are available at the link below.
