Rumor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 To Launch In September
In a report by Donanimhaber, the NVIDIA GTX 650 specifications and release date have been revealed. The new GPU will be based on NVIDIA’s Kepler architecture and uses the GK107 die. The graphics card will come packed with 384 CUDA cores and 1GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus. If these specs sound familiar it is because the GTX 650 appears to be a GT 640 but with GDDR5 instead of GDDR3 which should nearly double the GPU’s memory bandwidth. According to the report partners can also custom-design their own variations with extra memory, better coolers and more may be seen with NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 650. The card will supposedly launch September 17th, just in time for the back to school season. Exact pricing is unknown but will be in the sub $200 range. Like always take the rumors with a grain of salt, as September is still a ways off.
