Rumor: NVIDIA GTX 660 Ti Specs Leaked, Launches August 16

By

NVIDIA’s affordable midrange GeForce GTX 660 Ti video card based on the Kepler core has had its specs leaked online in yet another rumor about its upcoming products. What’s interesting about it however isn’t just that the price is expected to be affordable by gamers without deep pockets, but just how similar it is to its big brother, the GTX 670. It shares the same GK104 GPU, GPU clock speed, boost clock, RAM, plus RAM speed as the GTX 670. The only difference is the data bus width, which has been reduced in size from 256-bits to 192-bits. Also, the TDP is only 150W, 20W lower than the GTX 670. It’s not clear how the TDP could drop by 20W simply by narrowing the memory bus, but we’ll know for sure if this figure is accurate once the card is released, rumored to be on August 16, at around 3000 Kronor in Sweden. Like the upcoming AMD HD 7970 that we reported on today, it may well be unveiled at GameCon, Germany, which opens on the same day.
