The Amazingly Photorealistic Rigid Gems v2.0 Released

By

Japanese developer Yosi has released the second version of his free Rigid Gems demo. It’s not any ordinary graphics demo either. It renders the jewels in realtime using a hybrid of DirectX11 and raytracing to render an incredibly lifelike animation. It can be controlled with the mouse and various effects turned on and off.

The demo requires an Intel Core i5 CPU or higher and a high end DX11 graphics card such as a GTX 680 or HD 7970 and Windows Vista or 7, along with 1GB RAM.

A simplified version of the demo will be viewable in a web browswer too, but that’s not been released yet. The demo can be downloaded here.
