The Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet is a new release from ‘The Worlds Most Reliable Network’. The Ellipsis 7 is targeted at those looking for productivity on the go, as well as a touch of entertainment. A 7″ tablet is small enough to toss into a jacket pocket or purse, but large enough to use for most tasks without an issue. The Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet isn’t just a Wi-Fi tablet like many of the tablet out there, the Ellipsis 7 is connected to the Verizon 4G LTE network and has all the benefits that come with it. If you’re interested in the Verizon Ellipsis 4G LTE tablet you can pick it up on Amazon.com for as little as $119.99 with a 2 year contract, or $299.99 without a contract.

The Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet is packed with features for us to look at today. The nature of a tablet demands portability, if it isn’t portable (at least by your own definition) it’s not likely to suit the needs that you need it to. Some people may say that a 10″ tablet is to large for them, it is definitely tougher to throw in a pocket or purse, and if you’re carrying it around all day it may get heavy quick. To some though a 7″ tablet like the Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet may be to small to use. Personally I like 7″ tablets they are large enough to work on, but small enough that they aren’t cumbersome to carry around.

The Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet isn’t going to be the most powerful tablet to come through the Legit Reviews labs, that isn’t what this is designed for. Though it should have plenty of power for most people who are looking to get into an entry level tablet. At the heart of the Ellipsis 7 is an ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processor that chugs along at 1.2GHz and has 1Gb of RAM. As I said this isn’t the most powerful tablet or anywhere close to that, it’s an entry level tablet that features a Verizon 4G LTE cellular modem. If the processor is the heart, then the operating system is the life blood of the Ellipsis 7 tablet. The Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet is running Androin 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and it’s pretty much a stock build with only a few extras built in that don’t seem to be removable. The Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet comes with some apps like, iHeartRadie, Redbox Instant, and Amazon Kindle.

As with most phones and tablets, the packaging for the Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet isn’t flashy or particularly eye catching. Then again, it isn’t like they have these sitting on a shelf for you to pick up at the store. Once you order online or head in to your local Verizon retail location and let them know you want one, they will grab it out of the back for you. While it may not be flashy, the packaging does show off a good picture of the Ellipsis 7 tablet for you to see.

The back of the packaging isn’t exciting in the least and really only lists out the contents of the box. Packed inside the Ellipsis 7 box is the Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet, USB Cable, power adapter, quick reference guide, and the product safety and warranty brochure.

Opening up the package for the Ellipsis 7 4G LGE tablet, it looks like I’m not the first to have this sample as there are no warning stickers and the interior of the packaging is showing some signs of wear and tear. Despite the wear and tear, the Ellipsis 7 tablet is still securely packed inside and is in no danger of shifting around.

Removing the tablet from the box, we can see the paperwork and the wall adapter to charge the Ellipsis 7 tablet. Below the paperwork we would find the included USB Cable tucked neatly underneath.

The screen on the Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet measures 7 inches and features a HD IPS display with a 1280×800 resolution. For more than obvious reasons, the Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet doesn’t have an actual keyboard, for that there is a Virtual QWERTY Keyboard with SWYPE technology. Throughout my time with the Ellipsis 7 I didn’t run into any issues using the virtual keyboard. At the top of the Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet you can make out the front facing VGA camera

The bottom edge of the Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet features only the micro-USB port for charging and syncing.

The right edge of the Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet is where most of the physical features can be found. Towards the left edge of the photo there is a door that reveals the microSD card and SIMM card. The Verizon Ellipsis 7 comes with 8Gb of internal storage. While 8GB isn’t bad for storage, it isn’t much by todays standards, if you’re in need of more storage the Ellipsis 7 tablet supports micro SD cards up to a 32 GB. Towards the right side of the photo we can find the usual volume and power buttons.

The top edge of the Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet doesn’t have much going on, though it does have a 3.5mm audio jack for a set of headphones.

The back of the Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet is relatively uneventful, at the top we can see the 3.2 Megapixel camera, and the branding along the the bottom. In the fine print along the bottom they have placed the model number (QMV7A), FCC ID numbers, and the all to common Made in China logo.

The camera tucked up in the corner of the Ellipsis 7 is a 3.2 megapixel camera. I know it’s not common, but I’d still like to see a flash on tablets. Very few tablets have them but they do help take better pictures.
