Microsoft’s Big Mystery Announcement to be Revealed on June 18

By

Selected members of the press have been invited by Microsoft to an event in Los Angeles on Monday June 18, where there will be a “major announcement” that they “will not want to miss”. What’s intriguing about this invite, is the way that no teaser details at all about the announcement will be revealed before the event. Also, if the original invited attendee can’t make it, an alternative can be nominated, where Microsoft will “review” that person, meaning that they might not get in. On top of that, they are limiting the amount of photos and videos that can be made! This kind of cliffhanger buildup is somewhat unprecedented for Microsoft and quite surprising to see, especially from a company of their size, which one would expect to spring a leak in a couple of places.

So, what does this all mean? There’s speculation that perhaps it’s something to do with an Xbox upgrade, a Nokia buyout, something entertainment related or Windows 8 related. Basically, no-one that would say has a clue and the few that know aren’t telling. The quote below is all that Microsoft sent to the lucky few.

This will be a major Microsoft announcement you will not want to miss it.

This is a non-transferrable invitation, however, if you would like to send your local colleague in your place, please submit that name and it will be reviewed. If you would like to bring a photographer please register that person as your additional guest. Please note still photography and video will be limited.
