Rockstar Shows Cheaters A Special Form Of Love In Max Payne 3

By

It seems Rockstar isn’t taking kindly to cheaters when it comes to Max Payne 3. In the latest AAA multi-platform release by the company, Rockstar has decided to place cheaters in a “Cheaters Pool” during multiplayer. This would bar them from regular muliplayer matches and instead force cheaters to verse other cheaters. This means anyone who happens to use hacked saves, modded games, exploits etc in order to gain the advantage in multiplayer, or bypass the leaderboards will end up essentially quarantined from regular players. Players caught cheating may be allowed to play with the general public again eventually, but should they be caught a second time it’s game over the banishment will be indefinite. For those that find some flaky things going down when your getting your game on, send an email to [email protected] and include the following:

  • Platform (PC, PS3 or Xbox 360)
  • Cheaters Gamertag / ID
  • Description of the violation
  • If possible, please include concrete evidence, such as a video or a screenshot

Max Payne 3

What do our readers think? Is this a good idea from Rockstar, will it have any real effect or is it a doomed attempt from the start? I for one hope this works, it’s certainly a novel way to handle those who ruin the fun for others.

We’re aware that a small minority of players are spoiling the Max Payne 3 multiplayer experience for honest players with cheats and hacks, and while certain issues will be dealt with in forthcoming title updates, today we’d like to make it clear that anyone using these nefarious methods will be dealt with.
