Apple Unveils All New Next-Gen MacBook Pro Featuring Retina Display

Apple has just unveiled their all new MacBook Pro with Retina display. The new 15-inch unit will use all flash storage as well as an Intel i7 quad-core CPU. All that in a small thin, light design that measures just .71-inches think and weighing in at just 4.46lbs. The new MacBook Pro Retina display offers 5 million pixels which comes out to 220 pixels-per-inch with its resolution of 2880×1800. The panel itself uses IPS technology which allows for a 178-degree viewing angle, not to mention reflection has been cut by 75% with contrast being increased by 29% compared to Apple’s previous generation. The MacBook Pro with Retina display will feature an Intel Core i7 CPU, NVIDIA GT 650M GPU, up to 16GB 1600 MHz memory and finally up to 768GB of flash storage. Rounding out the full feature set Apple will be making use of Intel’s Thunderbolt technology offering two ports, that paired with two USB 3.0 ports will allow users to hook up multple displays and high performance devices. A single HDMI port is also present so users can connect to their HDTVs. The battery used in the new top of the line model will last up to 7 hours of wireless productivity, and will last up to 1000 recharges. The MacBook Pro lineup will start at $2,199 (US) with its base configuration 2.3 GHz Core i7, 8GB memory, and 256GB of flash storage.
