By

Kingston Technology today announced it is shipping HyperX dual-channel kits engineered especially for the new Intel third-generation Core i7 and i5 processors (Ivy Bridge). Kingston HyperX memory is available in 16GB and 8GB kits of two at 1600MHz, 2133MHz, 2400MHz and soon to be speedy 2666MHz frequencies. The 2666MHz memory kit is only available in an 8GB (2x4GB) capacity (KHX26C11T1K2/8X) with CL11 timings running at 1.65V. No pricing was given for this particular kit as it is not shipping just yet. The 2400MHz HyperX 8GB kit is available for $89.99 and features the same timings and voltages. We feel it is safe to assume that the 2666MHz kit will be north of $100.
