The Witcher 2 Sales Top 1.7 Million Copies

By

Developer CD Projekt RED has announced that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has now sold 1.7 million copies on the PC and Xbox 360 platforms. This is especially impressive, because the PC version is sold on gog.com without any DRM at all, proving that DRM is a hindrance to gamers and publishers. The game is to be launched in Japan on the Xbox 360 on August 23, published by Spike Chunsoft. A Mac version is in development, but a release date has not been revealed yet. Finally, the game is currently on special offer at gog.com for $29.99 (40% off) and it’s the improved Enhanced Edition with extra content and longer playing time, too.
