Lian Li Announces Three Ultra-Compact Cases for Smartphone and Tablet Users

By

Catering for the smartphone and tablet market, these Lian Li cases are designed as personal data storage hubs for all your mobile devices. The PC-Q02 & PC-Q03 cases have no fans, thereby keeping noise to a minimum, but are designed for good airflow through them. The PC-Q03 has no PSU, but the PC-Q02 and PC-Q16 come with a 300W 80 Plus certified SFX PSU.

The PC-Q02 is designed for personal data storage and supports a mini-ITX motherboard. It therefore has lots of space for data drives, sporting one 5.25″ slim-type external bay, while the floor can hold either two 2.5″ drives or one 3.5″ drive. The case has no fan. Suggested price: $149.99

The PC-Q03 is designed for enhanced graphics and supports mini-ITX and mini-DTX motherboards. It can hold a graphics card up to 180mm (7.08″) in length. The PC-Q03 also has HD audio ports on the front panel in addition to the two USB 3.0 ports and has no fan.

The PC-Q16 is designed to hold as much storage as possible, meaning it can hold one 3.5″ drive, along with an optional 1-bay to HDD SATA hot-swap backplane. It can also hold three 2.5″ drives, below the 3.5″ bay. Hard disc drives get hot, so this case sports a 140mm fan at the front to keep them cool.

The Lian Li PC-Q02, PC-Q03, and PC-Q16 take advantage of the increasing efficiency of small form factor motherboards and progressively cheaper hard drives, and are able to hold the essential storage hardware in a small form factor. They also have high-quality features that are to be expected from Lian Li including: elegant brushed aluminium frames, easy-to-remove pop-off panels, USB 3.0 connectivity, rounded yet stable aluminum feet, as well as many tool-less features to make installations and upgrades easier. These three chassis also all have a dual LED power button which turns blue when on and glows red while reading.
