By

Diablo III looks to be an amazing game and leave it to Tom’s Hardware to be the first to post up what kind of performance can be expected from the blockbuster PC title. They tested the game with a multitude of entry lvl – enthusiast PC setups, with the verdict being almost anything can run it. At 1280×1024 resolution low details but high texture settings entry lvl GPUs like the AMD Radeon HD 6450 were able to put out an average of 45FPS, at 1920×1080 it managed 27 FPS. Meanwhile at max detail settings at 1280×1024 an NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 managed 32FPS while a Radeon HD 6670 managed 42 FPS, at 1920×1080 the GT 440 dropped to 24FPS and the HD 6670 managed 38FPS. As for CPU requirements, the game looks to run well on just about everything. The good news here for Diablo III fans is that as long as your rig is semi-modern, and has a GPU that is equal to or faster then an AMD Radeon HD 6670 or NVIDIA GeForce GT 440, you will be able to enjoy Diablo III at max or near max settings at 1080p.
