By

NVIDIA seems to be preparing the GeForce GTX 670 and a third GK104 based GPU possibly the GTX 660 (Ti). The GK104 die which will make up 3 SKUs in NVIDIA’s lineup, the GTX 680, GTX 670, and GTX 660 (Ti). Currently it is unknown if NVIDIA will use the Ti moniker or not. The GTX 670 has the codename GK104-335-A2 and will come with one SMX cluster disabled, meaning it will feature 1344 Cuda cores, 112 TMUs, 32 ROPs and 2GB GDDR5 on a 256bit bus. The GPU will receive power via 2x 6pin PCIe power connectors. The GTX 660 (Ti) will likely come with two SMX units disabled, giving the third GK104 GPU 1152 Cuda cores, 192Bit memory bus and use only one 6pin PCIe power connector. The GTX 670 will most likely retail for $399, the GTX 660 (Ti) should retail for $249.

GTX 670 GK104 Die

Performance of the GTX 670 would be slightly better than the HD 7950 and GTX 580 and would have much better performance efficiency then both. 3DMark 11 score result at Xtreme preset is around X2600 Marks. Also if NVIDIA does launch a Non-Ti or another cut down version of the 670, it would feature only single power connector, 1152 Cores due to two disabled SMX units and a cut down 192-bit memory, Price as we suggested around $249.
