Acer to Announce Ivy Bridge-Based Laptops in Japan on Sunday

By

Acer has revealed that it will be making part of its new Ivy Bridge-based V3 series laptops available from this weekend. The V3-571-H78F is the temporary name for a laptop that will be fully announced on Sunday and will begin shipping to stores immediately after. Core specs are: Intel’s 2.1GHz Core i7-3612GQ CPU, 8GB RAM, which is surprisingly coupled to a crummy 1366×768 low resolution screen. The price is 90,000 Yen, or $1,1114. Best to wait for the reviews before rushing out to buy this one, we think.

We weren’t blown away by the entry-level machines’ design when we saw them at CeBIT, but if you’re desperate for some early Ivy Bridge action Japan looks like the place to be.
