Mozilla Formally Launches Firefox 12

Further to our report yesterday that Firefox 12 was available to download from some dark corner of the Mozilla website, it has now been formally launched and is available directly from the Mozilla homepage, in the usual way. Firefox users should automatically get a prompt to upgrade at some point soon, or a manual update check can be run, which will offer the upgrade. This is very much a bugfix maintenance release, with the only new features being ‘Page Source now has line numbers’ and ‘Windows: Firefox is now easier to update with one less prompt (User Account Control)’. There are literally hundreds of bug fixes though and the upgrade is highly recommended. The full release notes are here
