Rumor: AMD Radeon HD 7990 To Launch At Computex 2012

It seems AMD is in no hurry to launch its flagship dual-GPU, the Radeon HD 7990 (codenamed “New Zealand”), even with NVIDIA rushing to get the GeForce GTX 690 out, AMD seems to be unfazed. Donanimhaber’s source in the Far East is saying the AMD will launch the Radeon HD 7990 at Computex 2012 in Taiwan. The GPU, which was originally slated for an April-May release, got pushed back with the end of a June becoming the new release target. This just so happens to coincide with when Computex 2012 will be held. The Radeon HD 7990 will make use of two fully enabled Tahiti XT cores, making for a dual-GPU card consisting of 2x 384-bit memory bus, 6GB of GDDR5 memory, 4096 GCN stream processors and of course 6-monitor Eyefinity support.
