By

The first pictures of MSI’s AMD Radeon HD 7870 HAWK have surfaced. The new MSI R7870 HAWK will come factory overclocked with further room for enthusiasts to squeeze out some extra MHz. The PCB will be utilizing a beefed up VRM that can take advantage of MSI’s GPU-Reactor module to further condition power by 88% for more stability when overclocking. As seen on other MSI GPU’s, the V-Check points on the R7870 HAWK allow voltage measurement points for enthusiasts wanting accurate voltage readings via multimeter. The graphics card will receive power from two 6-pin PCIe power connectors, as is the norm with other AMD Radeon HD 7870 graphics cards. The cooler being used this time around is the TwinFrozr 4 with blue accents instead of the yellow seen on the recently released MSI Radeon HD 7970 Lightning. Currently pricing and availability is unknown, as are the final clock speeds, more details should surface in short order. Images courtesy of Guru3D
