EA Unfazed By Worst Company In America Award

By

It seems EA was completely unfazed by their victory in The Consumerist’s reader-voted “Worst Company in America Contest”, where surprisingly EA managed to beat out Bank Of America for the illustrious title. In a statement to Kotaku, John Reseburg, EA Senior Director of Corporate Communications, had the following to say: “We’re sure that British Petroleum, AIG, Philip Morris, and Halliburton are all relieved they weren’t nominated this year. We’re going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide.” Further trying to deflate the victory, EA went on to mention that there is a Human Rights Campaign ongoing that supports the publisher’s stance on same-sex relationships and continued on to point out BioWare, an EA-owned studio, had made it to the finals in The Escapist’s “Best Developer” contest. Now granted I am surprised EA won against Bank of America, however, the people have spoken and EA can soak up their victory with aplomb.
