GIGABYTE Unveils Radeon HD 7800 Overclock Series GPUs

By

Not to be left behind, Gigabyte reveals their overclocked Radeon HD 7800 graphics cards today. Featuring everything you’d expect, such as the latest AMD APP Acceleration, Microsoft DirectX 11 supported, AMD HD3D, Crossfire, and PCI-Express 3.0 supported, combined with Gigabyte’s Ultra Durable benefits, found on most Gigabyte motherboards and GPUs, which uses extra-thick copper on the circuit board. Gigabyte claims this reduces GPU temperature by 5%-10%, power switching loss by 10%-30%, and increases overclocking by 10%-30%. The Gigabyte GV-R787OC-2GD (Radeon HD 7870) has 2GB GDDR5, 1100MHz core clock and 4800MHz (effective) memory clock. The Gigabyte GV-785OC-2GD (Radeon HD 7850) will also have 2GB GDDR5, and 4800MHz (effective) memory clock, but will be overclocked to 975MHz on the core. Both GPUs support PCIe 3.0 and also feature Gigabyte’s WINDFORCE technology which reduces air turbulence and uses pure copper heat pipes.
