Leak: NVIDIA GTX 680 Release Date Set For March 22nd

By

NVIDIA’s new flagship graphics card is going to be released soon and the leaks are coming in thick and fast now. The release date has been leaked by user ek84 at the overclock.net forum, claiming a March 22nd launch – just over a week away. He/she apparently works for a “big PC retail company” and was able to see a mini presentation given by EVGA a few days ago, where this was revealed. A few other things were revealed too: the card will have 1536 CUDA cores, 2GB GDDR5, two 6-pin PCI-E power connectors and a TDP of 190W, along with an MSRP of $550. Also, the GTX 580 is now seeing price cuts at all the usual retailers such as Newegg and Amazon, which lends credence to this release date. Finally, the reliability of this info seems reasonable, since ekg84 has a reputation score of 94, with 84 unique voters.
