The “Ivy Bridge” Core processor family’s specifications have been confirmed by Intel. According to TechPowerUp, the new processors covered include the desktop Core i5, i7 models, notebook Core i3, i5, i7 models and the ultra-low-voltage (ULV) models of both platforms. The new processors are compared against previous generation Nehalem and Sandy Bridge CPUs, with the information provided detailing model numbers, clock speeds, Hyper-Threading, fab process, integrated graphics, cache and more. While the details presented are primarily meant for retailers and distributors, they give us a look into what’s changed in terms of specifications between generations; performance differences are however, not specified.
